Warren County - The Commissioner of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) issued a final approval of that portion of the 2005 Gore UMP Amendment relating to the Interconnect between Gore Mountain Ski Center and Historic North Creek Ski Bowl, which consists of the proposed ski trails and lifts identified as lifts #12 and #14 and trails #12-b through #12-j in Figure 1-1 of the 2005 UMP Amendment. The project is located at the Gore Mountain Ski Center on Peaceful Valley Road in the North Creek, New York. Project Description: The project as proposed is the subdivision of Lot 9 (8.38 ± acres), from an 11 lot subdivision that did not require previous Agency approval, into three lots. The three proposed new lots are new Lot 9 (2.41 ± acres), Lot 12 (2.49 ± acres) and Lot 13 (3.48 ± acres). Lot 9 has an existing single family dwelling on it. Lots 12 and 13 are vacant. One new single family dwelling serviced by the Town of Wilmington public water system and on-site wastewater treatment systems is proposed for Lot 12 and Lot 13. Access to all three lots will be from Hollow Lane, a Town road. There are wetlands on each of the proposed lots.

Project Title: Town of Lake Pleasant

Location: West of NYS Route 30 in the Town of Lake Pleasant, New York.

Comment Period Ends: November 27, 2008

Project Description: The action involves a sand and gravel extraction for use by the Town of Lake Pleasant Highway Department. The extraction is presently 2.5 acres in size. It will be expanded by 1.0 acre over its projected 20 year Life of Mine period. Approximately 4,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel are to be removed from the extraction per year. The extraction will operate during normal business hours, Monday through Friday annually from May through November. No crushing, screening or other material processing is proposed on site. Approximately 2 loaded tandem dump trucks will depart the project site on a daily basis.
