Project Description:

The Department has made a tentative determination to renew and modify SPDES Permit # NY-0243191 for the discharge of up to 21,920 gallons per day (gpd) of treated sanitary waste to groundwater. The modification is for the addition of two outfalls, totalling 4270 gpd. The Bible Conference is located on the southwest shore of Lime Lake. The Department is seeking comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative determination does not signify department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is sought. In commenting, please refer to this application by application number and SPDES Permit number listed in this notice.

Project Description:

Relocation and realignment of approximately 225 feet of tributary #50 of Tonawanda Creek to protect active agricultural land from further erosion. Project Description:

The applicant proposes to realign and stabilize approximately 1100 linear feet of the banks of the Cattaraugus Creek immediately upstream of the NYS Route 16 bridge to prevent erosion which is threatening the bridge. The creek will be returned to its approximate location at the time the bridge was built. A variety of energy dissipaters will be installed within the creek channel, heavy stone armoring placed along the south bank, and riparian plantings from streamside to the upland area of the project limits. The project also includes enhancements to fish and wildlife habitat, such as in-stream structures, excavation of flood plain pools and planting of wetland vegetation to be incorporated into the design of the new creek section and floodplain, as well as improvements for fishing access. The project is located at the NYS Route bridge in the Towns of Sardinia and Yorkshire, in Erie and Cattaraugus Counties.
