DEC Region 4 Quarterly Reports of Administrative Use of Motor Vehicles and Aircraft in the Forest Preserve:
In compliance with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Commissioner Policy -17, the activity logs documenting the administrative use of motor vehicles and aircraft within the Forest Preserve in NYS DEC Region 4 (Greene and Delaware Counties) for the time period, July 2008 through September 2008, are available for review, by contacting Frank Parks at the NYS DEC office in Stamford. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) administers the Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) pursuant to State Environmental Conservation Law (ECL) 27-1400 et seq. The BCP was created to encourage the remediation and redevelopment of contaminated properties known as brownfields. The requestor indicated above has submitted a BCP application for the site indicated above.
NYS DEC will accept public comments concerning the application. A copy of the application and other appropriate documents (application package) is available in the site document repositories located at the addresses indicated below.
NYS DEC will review the application package and public comments received and then make a determination on the eligibility of the application.

Negative Declaration
Albany County - The Cohoes Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Cohoes Commons Renovations will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the partial demolition of a structure, rebuilding of the facade and alterations to the parking lot. The project is located at 55 Mohawk Street in Cohoes, New York.

Rensselaer County - The City of Troy Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Construction of a Materials Recovery Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. A public scoping session will be held on November 18, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Troy City Hall, Third Floor Conference Room, 1 Monument Square, Troy, NY 12180. The action involves the construction of the 70,000 square foot Material Recovery Facility and associated site improvements on approximately 4.5 acres of the 15 ± acre property. The project is located on the former King Fuels property near the terminus of Water Street along the Hudson River in the City of Troy, New York.
