Negative Declaration

Delaware County - The Town of Walton Town Board , as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendments to the Town of Walton's Zoning Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the amendments to the Town of Walton zoning law to address wind generation. The Town will regulate wind turbines through a permit process. Application requirements, wind energy facility development standards, site safety measures, traffic routes and road maintenance, setbacks, noise and setback easements, issuance of wind energy facility permits, abatement, limitations on approvals, permit revocation, wind measurement towers, small wind turbines, fees, and tax exemption are all areas covered by the amendments. The project is located throughout the Town of Walton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Rensselaer County - The Town of Grafton Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed The Lake at Sylvan Way. A public hearing on the Draft EIS was held on October 20, 2008 at the Grafton Town Hall, Grafton, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until November 7, 2008. The action involves the approval of a 26 Lot subdivision on approximately 141 acres with construction of 4,000 feet of road adjacent to South Long Pond and Dyken Pond. The project is located on South Long Pond Road in the Town of Grafton, New York.
