The action involves the applicant, Jordanville Wind, LLC's, proposal to develop a wind powered generating facility of up to 80 megawatts (MW) in the Town of Warren and the Town of Stark, New York. The Reduced Project will include approximately 40 wind turbines, each with a generating capacity of 2.0 MW. The project is located south of the Mohawk River Valley in the Towns of Warren and Stark. The project area totals approximately 5,550 acres of private land (approximately 54 separate parcels), and is located approximately 6 miles south of the Cities of Little Falls and Herkimer, 4.5 miles northeast of the Village of Richfield Springs, 2.5 miles west of the Hamlet of Starkville and approximately 1.5 miles east of the Hamlet of Jordanville ( as measured to the nearest turbine), New York.
