Project Description:

Rebuild, widen and resurface 1,239 linear feet of Capron Rd from the intersection of Weaver Rd. This project involves filling 1,257 square feet or .03 acres of a 49-acre NYSDEC regulated freshwater wetland (FWW) LC-19. In order to widen the existing road, 555 sq. ft. of gravel fill will be placed in FWW LC-19 on the easterly side of Capron Rd and 702 sq. feet of gravel fill on the westerly side to a depth of 2 feet. The existing road and new extended shoulders will be resurfaced with a layer of #1A stone and a layer of #1 stone and oil. An US Army Corps of Engineers permit has been obtained.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Oct 30, 2008.
