ENB - Region 4 Notices 10/15/2008
Delaware County - The Town of Bovina Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Bovina Highway Garage Replacement will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves replacing the existing town highway garage in its entirety, including the existing stand-alone office building on the same site where the town highway garage stands. The building will be a 60 foot deep by 40 or 48 foot long wood-frame facility with an attached 20 foot by 36 foor administrative wing to the northerly end of the building. It will be approximately 3,600 square feet overall. The equipment portion of the building will have metal exterior siding and roof system, with an interior metal liner in the garage portion and possible drywall (sheetrock) or paneling interior wall system in the administration wing. The new building will be setback from the road to provide a front apron where equipment can park without being near the road. The building setback will also provide a safer approach to Main Street (County Route #6) when trucks and equipment will be leaving the garage enroute to various highway maintenance tasks. The project is located in the Town of Bovina, Delaware County, NY.
