The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Cayuga County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Franklin Street Mine Renewal and Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the renewal and modification of the applicants current Mined Land Reclamation Permit to add 59.5 acres to their Life-of-Mine for a total of 83.4 acres, by expanding their sand and gravel mining operation. The project is located on Franklin Street Road between Cherry Street and Chestnut Ridge Road in the Town of Sennett, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Cayuga County - The Town of Cato, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town of Ira and Cato Joint Community Comprehensive Plan. The action involves the adoption of the Joint Ira-Cato Comprehensive Plan which the primary purpose of is to provide guidance to local officials and residents as they work to accommodate future physical growth and development of the community. The project is located throughout the Town of Cato, New York.
