Project Description: The Division of State Police (through the Office of General Services) proposes to construct a Forensic Investigation Unit Building at their current headquarters location in Ray Brook. The new Forensic building is a 12,150 ± square foot single story L-shaped structure. Space within the building will be used for a forensic laboratory, vehicle inspection garage, evidence storage and office space. In addition a 2,380 ± square foot evidence storage building is also proposed. Up to thirty one (31) trees will be removed for the construction of the project. Once completed twenty nine (29) trees will be replanted.

Project Title: New York State Department of Transportation

Location: The project is located on NY Route 28 in the Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake in Hamilton County. The project starts approximately 0.5 miles west of Durant Road (C.R. 19) and proceeds east 1.1 miles to the intersection of Route 28 and Route 28N/30.

Project Description: The project was developed to address deficient pavement surface conditions that could jeopardize overall structural integrity. The project includes resurfacing the existing highway, new concrete gutter, new sidewalk on both sides for pedestrians, reconstruction outside of the travel lane for on-street parking, culvert rehabilitation, drainage improvements and utility relocations involving utility poles over 40 feet in height. There will be streetscape improvements including new retaining walls added to replace existing stone walls in front of three residences. The project also includes extending a 1.52 x 1.52 box culvert 3.6 meters on the downstream side near the Route 28 & 28N/30 intersection and replacing the upstream and downstream wingwalls of an unnamed creek to Blue Mountain Lake.
