Chautauqua County - The Town of Chautauqua, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Law #6 of 2008 - Amending Regulations for Hunting Camps will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a local law to amend the Town's existing regulations to impose an upward size limit of 500 square feet. The project is located town wide in the Town of Chautuaqua, New York.

Erie County - The Town of Evans Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Two Local Laws for the Regulation of Commercial and Non-Commercial Wind Energy Conversion Systems will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of two new laws (Local Laws #5 and #6 of 2008), to be incorporated into the Zoning Ordinance, for the regulation of wind energy conversion systems for both commercial and non-commercial in the Town. The project is located town wide in the Town of Evans, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping
Wyoming County - The New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Norfolk Southern Railway Portageville Bridge Project may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted October 17, 2008. A public scoping session will be held on October 1, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the U.S Army Corp. of Engineers, William B. Hoyt II Visitor Center, 6103 Visitor Center Road, Mount Morris, NY 14510. The action involves the rehabilitaion of the existing bridge or replacement of the bridge on existing, adjacent, or off site alignments. The project is located at mile post SR 361.66 of Norfolk Southern Railway's Southern Tier Line in Letchworth State Park in Castile, New York. This project is located in both Livingston and Wyoming Counties.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS and Public Hearing
Erie County - The Town of Tonawanda Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Riverview Commerce Park. Comments on the Draft GEIS will be accepted by the contact persons listed below until September 30, 2008. A copy of the DGEIS is available at the Town Clerk's office, 2919 Delaware Avenue, Kenmore, NY or on the Town's website at: www.tonawanda.ny.us. The action involves the conceptual layout for construction of an estimated seven multi-use office/warehousing facilities consisting of approximately 844,600 square feet. The project is an addition to the existing Riverview Commerce Park, subject of a previous GEIS, which proposed 240,000 square feet of development. The project is located at 5201 River Road in the Town of Tonawanda, New York.
