The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Madison County - The Village of Chittenango, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Preparation and Adoption of the Village Chittenango Comprehensive Plan - 2008 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the preparation and adoption of a new Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Chittenango in accordance with Section 7-722 of New York State Village Law. The Village's new Comprehensive Plan reflects its intent to protect key natural resources such as Chittenango Creek and its embankments by encouraging sound future land use practices and curbing haphazard development, particularly in sensitive environmental areas. Additionally, provisions and suggested policy for strengthening the Village's economic climate are outlined in the Plan. The project is located village wide in the Village of Chittenango, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Cayuga County - The Town of Ira, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town of Ira and Cato Joint Community Comprehensive Plan. The action involves the adoption of the Ira-Cato Comprehensive Plan which will provide guidance to local officials and residents as they work to accommodate future physical growth and development of the community. The project is located town wide in the Town of Ira, New York.
