Project Description:

The Department has drafted a SPDES permit and made a tentative determination to approve this application for the discharges from four on-site wastewater treatment systems to groundwater. Three discharges are for up to 3040, 2750 and 2025 gallons per day of sanitary wastewater and the fourth is for up to 2625 gallons per day of sanitary/kitchen wastewater after treatment by intermittent sand filters. The proposed facility served will be a campground at 8764 Route 98 North in the Town of Farmersville.

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to modify the presently permitted Mined Land Reclamation Plan for a portion of the site to allow for the mining of sand and gravel into the groundwater table to the interface of a clay till deposit and the creation of a 12.5 acre pond with a depth of approximately 18 feet. The reclamation objective for the remainder of the mining area will continue to be various habitats, including warm season grasses mixed with wild lupine habitat conducive to the establishment of the Karner Blue Butterfly, wetlands complex, plantings to establish an oak-chestnut forest, cool season grassland and riparian areas along Elton Creek.
