Project Description:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
The addition of 34.7 acres to the existing, currently permitted 17.1 acre Sibley Road Pit is proposed. Material processing will continue with a portable dry-screen and portable crusher and no other changes to the mining operation are proposed. With the expansion, the estimated life of the mine including reclamation is 25 years. The reclamation objective is to return the land suitable for agricultural uses. The facility is located northeast of Sibley Road and approximately 0.2 mile northwest of the intersection with NYS Route 240.
