Steuben County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Drilling Permit Application for Chesapeake Appalachia, LLC proposed M. Peck 1 Natural Gas Well located within Steuben County Agricultural District #19 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the drilling of a natural gas well in the Steuben County Agricultural District #19. Drilling operations will be conducted in accordance with the drilling permit issued and rules and regulations of the Department. The total area proposed to be disturbed during the initial construction phase for the well site and access road is 121,405 square feet or approximately 2.79 acres. After the well has been drilled, it will be put into production or plugged and abandoned. The well pad and access road areas for a producing well will be reduced to 9,345 square feet or approximately 0.21 acres and the remaining disturbed areas reclaimed. If the well is plugged and abandoned, the site will be reclaimed. The project is located approximately 2,030 feet southeast of County Route 7 and 330 feet northwest of Wrait Road in the Town of Prattsburgh, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping
Wayne County - The Ontario Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Commerce Center Industrial Park may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on October 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Town Hall, 1850 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. The action involves the development of an industrial park located on approximately 354 acres of industrially zoned area located north of State Route 104 between Dean Parkway and Lakeside Rd. The Town Board intends to adopt a Master Plan for the project. The project is located north of State Route 104 between Dean Parkway and Lakewide Road in the Town of Ontario, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Schuyler County - The Town of Montour Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Coomprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 14, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Montour Town Offices. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 24, 2008. A copy of the Draft EIS may be obtained from the contact person listed below. The action involves the adoption of the proposed comprehensive plan as the comprehensive plan for the Town of Montour and the adoption of the proposed zoning law as the zoning ordinance of the Town of Montour. The project is located town wide in the Town of Montour, New York.
