Project Description:

Project sponsor is proposing to construct 134 condominium/patio homes on a 54 acre parcel known as Heritage Woods Subdivision in the Town of Hamlin. The project plans propose impacts to 0.28 acre of federal wetland and as such require the Department's consideration of an individual 401 Water Quality Certification for the project. The Department will require compliance with the NYSDEC 's Phase II General Permit for Construction Activities. The project is located at the Corner of Roosevelt Highway and Hamlin Center Rd. in the Town of Hamlin.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.

SEQR Lead Agency: Hamlin Town Planning Board

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to renew State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) # NY 015 8674, for Chili Country Club in Monroe County. This is a pre-existing Private/Commercial/Institutional SPDES permit. DEC has made a tentative determination to renew this permit and set a standard five year term maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements. This permit involves the surface discharge of up to 2,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste into a tributary of Black Creek, a class D stream.

Additional information including the current permit, renewal applications, and supporting documentation may be obtained from or inspected at the DEC central office in Albany. Substantive comments on the permit or requests for hearing or both must be submitted in writing to the contact person.

DEC seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.
