Project Description:

The applicant proposes a .6 ac. treatment of two locations on the 3 ac. pond on the Hillside Children's Center property, east of Parkmeadow Drive. The aquatic herbicide Navigate, a butoxyethyl ester of 2-4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, will be applied at 27.6% concentration using a boat and power spreader at a rate of 100 lbs/acre. The application will be by granular broadcast with a maximum amount of herbicide allowed of 120 lbs. The treatment is intended to control Eurasian water milfoil, an invasive, non-native aquatic plant species. The project site is SW of the Tinker Nature Park, within NYS regulated wetland HR-4.

Project Description:

The Department has received an application for the creation of Arcadia Water District #10 and to take for use therein a supply of water estimated to be up to 6600 gallons per day from the Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority's Lake Ontario sources. This project, a part of the Arcadia-Marion Joint Water Project, includes the installation of 13,200 lineal feet of 8" water main and appurtenances to serve 38 units. A portion of the watermain will be installed within the regulated 100-foot adjacent area of NYS Freshwater Wetland SO-38. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application. As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking public comments prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to renew State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) # NY 016 1128, for Fisher Property in Yates County. This is a pre-existing Private/Commercial/Institutional SPDES permit. DEC has made a tentative determination to renew this permit and set a standard five year term maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements. This permit involves the surface discharge of up to 450 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste into a tributary of Canandaigua Lake, a class D water. Additional information including the current permit, renewal applications, and supporting documentation may be obtained from or inspected at the DEC central office in Albany. Substantive comments on the permit or requests for hearing or both must be submitted in writing to the contact person. DEC seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.
