Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Sewer District No. 2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the establishment of Sewer District No. 2 for the purposes of financing, constructing, and maintaining a 200,000 gallon per day sewage treatment plant (STP) and collection system. The project is located on the southside of Long Island Expressway, east of William Floyd Parkway within an industrial subdivision known as Brookhaven R & D Plaza in Shirley, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping
Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Major Subdivision and Site Plan of REPCAL, LLC may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on September 17, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at the Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, NY. The action involves the proposal to sever out and acquire 300 acres of land zoned Light Industrial within the Enterprise Park at Calverton (EPCAL) from the ownership of the Riverhead Community Development Agency and to develop the land as the Rechler Center for Business and Technology. The 300 acres will be subdivided into five blocks from 32.7 to 76.7 acres with the 48.9 acre block further subdivided into six industrial lots of from 2.7 acres to 10.9 acres and developed with nine industrial buildings with an aggregate building area of 318,475 square feet and related improvements and an open space lot of 8.1 acres. The project is located on the south side of Middle Country Road (SR 25), opposite the easterly terminus of SR 25A in Calverton (EPCAL), New York.
