Project Description: The project is a subdivision into sites, involving the lease of a 100 foot x 100 foot parcel to Verizon Wireless for the construction of a new 61 foot tall telecommunications tower and a 12 foot x 30 foot equipment building on a concrete pad at the base of the tower within a 23 foot x 48 foot fenced equipment compound. Verizon proposes a 12 panel antenna array (i.e. four 8 foot panels on each of three sides of the array) that will extend 4 feet above the top of the tower and a lightening rod that will extend 4 feet above the antennas for an overall height of 69 feet. The project also involves a 30 foot wide access and utility easement. Utilities will be installed underground. The site is located between US Route 9 and Route 87 in the Town of Chesterfield, Essex County.

Project Description: The project is briefly described as the construction of a train station in phases. Phase I includes the construction of a rail siding, pavilion and associated infrastructure (i.e., stormwater control devises, parking area, landscaping, etc.). Phase II includes the construction of a 20.5 foot tall, 21.5 foot by 67 foot train station with two attached 16 foot by 38 foot canopies (thereby making the overall structure 21.5 feet in width and 143 feet in length). Upon completion of the train station the pavilion is proposed to be removed.
Negative Declaration
Franklin County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Johnston Sand and Gravel will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposal to expand the total life of mine area from 4.9 acres to 19.0 acres, for continued excavation and onsite processing of sand and gravel. The project is located north of Cook Road in the Town of Burke, New York.
