Shandaken Tunnel Outlet SPDES Permit General Meeting - August 26, 2008

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) hereby gives notice that a meeting will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday August 26, 2008, at the NYC DEP office located at 71 Smith Avenue in Kingston, NY.

The meeting is being held in accordance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Discharge Permit No. NY 026-8151, for the Shandaken Tunnel Outlet. NYC DEP will discuss the progress of several projects in the Catskill watershed region. Public input is welcome.

The meeting is open to the public.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Albany County - The City of Albany Common Council, as lead agency, has accepted a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Rezoning of 124-128R Washinton Avenue Extension (Residence Inn Hotel). A public hearing on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be held on August 4, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Common Council Chambers on the second floor of Albany City Hall (Eagle Street east of State Street). Written comments on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be accepted until August 15, 2008. A copy of the Supplemental Draft EIS is available from the contact person listed below. The action involves the rezoning from R-1B (Single-Family Medium-Density Residential) to C-2 (Highway Commercial) to permit the construction of a 124 room hotel with accessory parking. The project is located at 124-128R Washington Avenue Extension in the City of Albany, New York.
