Negative Declaration
Orleans County - The Town of Shelby, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Shelby Water District No. 9 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the extension of public water. Approximately 22,790 linear feet of watermain will be installed. In addition to the watermain, the project includes hydrants, valves, road crossings, excavation and bedding materials, watermain connections, residential hook-ups, and surface restoration. The project will serve a total of 47 residential units, which are dependent upon individual groundwater supplies that historically have produced very low yields of poor quality water. The project is located along portions of Fuller, Blair, Salt Works and Ryan Roads in the Town of Shelby, New York.

The action involves the extension of public water. Approximately 13,620 linear feet of watermain will be installed. In addition to the watermain, the project includes hydrants, valves, road crossings, excavation and bedding materials, watermain connections, residential hook-ups, and surface restoration. Residents in these areas are dependent upon individual groundwater supplies that historically have produced very low yields of poor quality water. The project is located along portions of Transit Road, West Transit Church Road and East Transit Church Road in the Towns of Gaines and Murray, New York. Transit Road is the Gaines/Murray Town line.
