Shandaken Tunnel Outlet SPDES Permit General Meeting - August 26, 2008
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) hereby gives notice that a meeting will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday August 26, 2008, at the NYC DEP office located at 71 Smith Avenue in Kingston, NY.
The meeting is being held in accordance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Discharge Permit No. NY 026-8151, for the Shandaken Tunnel Outlet. NYC DEP will discuss the progress of several projects in the Catskill watershed region. Public input is welcome.
The meeting is open to the public.

Albany County - The New York State Department of Transportation (NY DOT), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Maxwell Road Reconstruction will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the relocation of Maxwell Road approximately 300 meters to the east to a new intersection with Albany Shaker Road. A roundabout will be installed at the proposed new intersection. Relocation of the intersection will require the construction of Maxwell Road on a new alignment for a distance of approximately 700 meters. The project includes open and closed drainage system, storm water retention ponds, and wetland mitigation. The project is located at the intersection of Maxwell Road and Albany Shaker Road in the Town of Colonie, New York.

Greene County - The Town of Jewett, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the Eastkill Stream Management Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of a comprehensive Stream Management Plan for the East Kill by the Greene County Soil & Water Conservation District (GCSWCD), in collaboration with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) Stream Management Program and the Town of Jewett. The Town of Jewett is seeking to adopt the Stream Management Plan as a working guidance document. The project is located along the entire East Kill Stream corridor in New York.

Montgomery County - The City Council of the City of Amsterdam, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water Filtration Plant Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of new treatment plant equipment to be located in an existing building at the raw water source in Glen Wild. New filtration and water treatment equipment will be housed in a proposed addition attached to the existing filter plant. The existing backwash tank will be replaced with a new tank located on the filter plant site. The project is located in the City of Amsterdam, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Supplemental Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Greene County - The Coxsackie Village Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Hamlet on the Hudson Residential Golf Community. A public hearing on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be held on July 21, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Coxsackie Town Hall, 16 Read Street, Coxsackie, NY 12051. Written comments on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be accepted until July 31, 2008. The action involves the preparation of the SDEIS to address project changes in response to comments on the impacts on sensitive avian species. The project is located on Farm to Market and Johnny Cake Lane in the Town of Coxsackie, New York.
