Project Description:

The Department has received a request for a modification in existing permit from Bach & Company, Pelo Road, Clayton, NY - 13624 .The Pelo Road operation is a sand and gravel operation that produces aggregate for construction materials use. The facility is composed of 4 crushers, 4 screens, and multiple conveyors. Two diesel engines rated over 400 HP & multiple exempt diesel engines are used to supply power to the crushing and screening plants. The draft permit with conditions is available for review in the Region 6 DEC office in Watertown, New York.

Project Description:

The Department has received a request to modify an existing permit and has drafted an Article 19 (Air Pollution Control) of the Environmental Conservation Law, a State Facility Permit, for the Seavey Road Quarry, Seavey Rd, Gouverneur, NY - 13642. This facility's major products are white decorative stone and a pelletized fine limestone products. Imerys Marble Inc (SIC Code 1429) processes dolomitic marble into an agricultural pelletized limestone product and a decorative limestone product. The primary sources of emissions are crushers, screening operations, conveyor transfer points and truck loading and unloading areas. The draft permit with conditions is available for review in the Region 6 DEC office in Watertown, New York.
