Positive Declaration and Public Scoping
Suffolk County - The Town Board of the Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the Town of Brookhaven 2030 Comprehensive Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on July 14, 2008 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Town of Brookhaven Town Hall, Farmingville, NY. The action involves the adoption of a new Town of Brookhaven comprehensive land use plan, the Brookhaven 2030 Comprehensive Plan. The plan will be based on an examination of existing conditions, needs, and issues and identified goals and objectives that will provide the basis for a comprehensive plan to guide future land use and zoning issues in the Town. The plan will ensure the implementation of sound and accepted planning principles. The project is located throughout the entire Town of Brookhaven, New York.
