Shandaken Tunnel Outlet SPDES Permit General Meeting - August 26, 2008

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) hereby gives notice that a meeting will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday August 26, 2008, at the NYC DEP office located at 71 Smith Avenue in Kingston, NY.

The meeting is being held in accordance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Discharge Permit No. NY 026-8151, for the Shandaken Tunnel Outlet. NYCDEP will discuss the progress of several projects in the Catskill watershed region. Public input is welcome.

The meeting is open to the public.

Negative Declaration

Albany County - The City of Albany Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Fort Orange Club will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the removal of two small office buildings for the constrcution of additional parking facilities to serve the Fort Orange Club at 110 Washington Avenue, construction of architecturally decorative screening along the streetscape and future minor expansion of health club facility. The project is located at 118 and 120 Washington Avenue in the City of Albany, New York.

Albany County - The Town of New Scotland Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Colonie Country Club Estates will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a residential cluster subdivision of 40 lots on 54 ± acres, including 48 ± acres of land of the Colonie Golf and Country Club and a 6.1 ± acres of the lands of GOMCC, LLC. The action will involve the construction of approximately one mile of roadway providing for two means of ingress and egress from Maple Road. Other utilities, such as electric, cable, telephone and natural gas may be installed within this right of way. Each lot will be serviced by municipal water from the Village of Voorheesville under a Water Purchase Agreement between the Town of New Scotland and Village of Voorheesville. Each lot will be serviced by an individual subsurface sewage disposal system which will be owned and maintained by the lot owner. The project is located at 141 Maple Road (NYS Route 85A) in the Town of New Scotland, New York.

Delaware County - The Kortright Town Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed McMurdy Brook Farm Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the applicant, NY Land & Lakes, proposal to subdivide 300 ± acres into 15 large acre lots. All lots will have frontage on existing town maintained roads. Eleven of the proposed lots are located on the west and east side of McMurdy Brook Road near the intersection of Hobart Hill Road. Four lots are on the north side of the Hobart Hill Road and McMurdy Brook Road intersection. The project is located 2015 McMurdy Road in the Town of Kortright, New York.

Positive Declaration

Greene County - The Town of Greenville Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Golden Green of Greenville may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the site plan and subdivision of 133.96 acres of land for a golf resort and corporate retreat center. The project is proposed to consist of an 18 hole golf course, a 150 seat restaurant, a 300 seat banquet facility and 150 condominium units dividied into two separate buildings housing 90 units and 60 units, respectively. Private water and sewer utilities are planned. The project is located off Old Plank Road and Big Woods Road in the Town of Greenville, New York.
