Negative Declaration

Orange County - The Town of Wallkill, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed perpetual conservation easement and local law amending and updating the Town's zoning map will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a local law updating and amending the Town of Wallkill's zoning map, changing a parcel from Low-Density Agricultural District to the Rural Agricultural District. Also involved is a proposed conservation easement for the purchase of development rights associated with the farm located on the parcel and another parcel pursuant to a grant award from the Department of Agriculture and Markets. The project is located at 201 Stage Road in the Town of Wallkill, New York.

Westchester County - The County of Westchester, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed NetJets Lease Agreement will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. E.J.M. Building Sevices, LLC (EJM) proposes to cancel its existing lease and enter into a new lease for hangar space, office space, automobile parking area and aircraft apron area at the Westchester County Airport in connection with its operation of NetJets. The new leasehold area will encompass approximately five (5) acres and will include Hangar 6, Building 11 and the area associated with Building 5. Under the proposed agreement, EJM will undertake improvements to Building 11, including ADA Compliance, security improvements, office renovations and creation of a passenger waiting facility. Under the agreement, EJM will also demolish Building 5 and convert the area to pavement for automobile parking use by NetJets. EJM will also convert approximately 4,100 square feet of lawn adjacent to Building 5 to pavement for parking. The lease will have a term of 10 years with two 10 year renewal options. The project is located on Airport Access Road on the north end of the Westchester County Airport in the Town of North Castle, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Orange County - The Town of Goshen Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Maplewood Village at Goshen. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on June 19, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Goshen Town Hall. The action involves the proposal to create a 213 unit Hamlet Residential development on approximately 94 acres off Craigville Road in accordance with Traditional Neighborhood design concepts as described in the Town of Goshen Zoning code for the HR/HM district. Approximately 30,000 square feet of commercial uses, which will focus on providing service and goods to local residents, are also proposed. In addition, the applicant proposes to develop 16 residential lots along Coleman Road in the RU district in accordance with the requirements for an Open Space Development as described in the Town's zoning code. In total, 229 residential units are proposed. The project is located on Craigville Road (CR 66) and Coleman Road opposite Hambletonian Park in the Town of Goshen, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Orange County - The Village of Warwick, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Major Subdivision of Village View Estates. The action involves the proposed 28 lot residential subdivision of a vacant 20.3 acre tract in the Village of Warwick which will be served by existing water and sewer utilities. The project is located at Locust Street and Woodside Drive in the Village of Warwick, New York.
