Project Description:
The applicant proposes to provide a second source of water to the Nedrow area, of the Town of Onondaga Consolidated Water District, via a connection to the existing Metropolitan Water Board (MWB) Southern Branch System through existing OCWA connections in the Sentinel Heights area. To provide water to the Nedrow system: a 12" water main will need to be constructed on Dave Tilden Drive and a 10" water main constructed on Rockwell Road; crossing of Route 81 via a pipe on Sentinel Heights Road bridge; and construction of two pressure reducing valve pits. OCWA will keep both supplies (the current supply is from the City of Syracuse's water system), which are both from Skaneateles Lake. No increase in the taking of water from the lake is required for this action.

Project Description:
To remove approx 1400 cu yds of sediment from approx 1000 feet of Cayuga Inlet to restore streambed profiles and culvert flows in order to reduce frequent railroad track flooding upstream of the NYS Route 34/96 bridge. Several berms and debris areas will be removed from the stream bank to allow reconnection of the Inlet with the floodplain. Excavated material and debris will be removed from the site. Seven rock structures will be installed within the disturbed section of the Inlet to enhance stream flow, stabilize the streambed and improve natural resource habitat.
