The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Chenango County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Dale Nelson 3.9 acre mine will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposal by the applicant to operate a 3.9 acre surface unconsolidated sand and gravel mine on a 190 acre parcel. The project is located on the east side of Route 11 at its intersection with Johnson Hill Road, approximately 1.5 miles south of the Village of Smyrna and approximately 1,500 feet west of the intersection of County Route 20 and County Route 21 in the Town of Smyrna, New York.
