The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Petition for Delist of the Mineral Processing Site from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. The site is located on Route 37 off of GM Circle in the City of Massena, St. Lawrence County.

Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Town of Champion, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water District No. 5 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a water distribution system comprised of approximately 2,500 feet of ductile iron water mains, 2,700 feet of 3/4 inch diameter water service laterals, gate valves, valve boxes, curb stop assemblies, corporation stop assemblies, water meters and fire hydrant assemblies to provide the Town of Champion Water District No. 5 with a potable water supply. The project is located along portions of Sayre Road and Farney Pit Road in the Town of Champion, New York.

The action involves the construction of a water distribution system comprised of approximately 3,000 feet of ductile iron water mains, 1,800 feet of 3/4 inch diameter water service laterals, gate valves, valve boxes, curb stop assemblies, corporation stop assemblies, water meters and fire hydrant assemblies to provide the Town of Champion Water District No. 6 with a potable water supply. Also included with this project is the construction of a new treatment plant and development of an existing ground water source. Potable water will be supplied to Water District No. 6 by an interconnection with Town of Champion Water District No. 5. The project is located along portions of Cole Road, Sayre Road and NYS Route 126 in the Town of Champion, New York.

Herkimer County - The Town of Warren, as Lead Agency, has determined that a Second Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement will be prepared for the proposed Jordanville Wind Energy Project. The action involves an application by Jordanville Wind LLC to develop a wind powered electric generating project. The project is located in the Towns of Warren and Stark, New York
