Negative Declaration

Albany County - The Town of Colonie Planning and Economic Development Department, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Sienna College President's House will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the change in use of a single family residence to office space and college related functions. The project is located at 505 Loudon Road (formerly 33 Fiddlers Lane) in the Town of Colonie, New York.

Delaware County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Delaware RA #2, C-33 and RA #5, B-13 Plantation Release will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the application of the herbicide (Glyfos) to reduce the competition from undesirable woody and herbaceous vegetation on three (3) sites totaling 61 acres. This action will remove the target vegetation on the site for a period of time sufficient to allow the planted Norway Spruce to attain enough size to dominate and fully occupy the site. The only vegetation to be removed is non-threatened or non-endangered species. Impact on public health is minimal. Personnel will be equipped with safety equipment. Also, following label instructions for the application will minimize risk. A complete description of the action is included in the Herbicide Application Plan, which is made a part of this Negative Declaration. The projects are located as follows:

Delaware RA # 2; Stands B-39, C-33; six miles southeast of Masonville in the Town of Masonville, New York.

Delaware RA # 5; Stand B-13; four miles south of Masonville in the Town of Masonville, New York.

Positive Declaration

Otsego County - The Town of Springfield Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Springfield Safe Circuit may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction and operation of a motorcycle riding training track. The project is located on County Highway 29, east of Sickler Road and west of Pumpkin Hook Road in the Town of Springfield, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Rensselaer County - The Town of East Greenbush Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed East Greenbush Marina Site Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The Town of East Greenbush Town Board will undertake scoping at which time the public may comment on the project. The applicant has submitted a draft scoping document which is available for review at the Town of East Greenbush Town Hall, located at 225 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144. The action involves the construction of a marina along the banks of the Hudson River. The project will include a quick launch facility building, mechanical shop, club house, associated office/ retail space, associated storage units and vehicle/ trailer parking. The project is located on Riverside Extension in the Town of East Greenbush, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft SGEIS and Public Hearing

Greene County - The Town of Coxsackie, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Community Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Amendments. A public hearing on the Draft SGEIS will be held on April 30, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coxsackie Town Hall, 16 Reed Street, Coxsackie, NY 12051. Written comments on the Draft SGEIS will be accepted until May 12, 2008. The Draft Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement can be accessed on the web at www.coxsackiecommunityplan.net/. The action involves the adoption of a new Community Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Amendments. The project is located thoroughout the Town of Coxsackie, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final SEIS

Montgomery County - The Town of Florida Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Hero/Beechnut Facility. The action involves the construction and operation of a baby food manufacturing facility, together with office facilities, truck loading/unloading facilities, and truck trailer/car parking areas. The proposed structure will be approximately 650,000 square feet, and the total acreage involved is approximately 141.66 acres. Primary access to the facility will be provided via the current Florida Business Park access road off of NYS Route 5S. A connecting access road will provide access to the Hero/Beech-Nut facility from the existing Business Park access road. The project is located within Lot 4 of the Florida Business Park located in the Town of Florida, New York, north of NYS Route 5S about one and one-half miles west of its intersection with NYS Route 30.
