Positive Declaration and Public Scoping
Nassau County - The Village of Hempstead Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Downtown Vision and Comprehensive Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on March 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hempstead Village Hall, 99 Nichols Court, Hempstead, NY 11550. The action involves the adoption of a downtown vision and comprehensive plan update. The project is located throughout the Village of Hempstead, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Nassau County - The Planning Board of the Incorporated Village of Sands Point, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Application for Subdivision Approval "Land's End Subdivision" 4B's Realty Land's End, LLC and 4B's Realty Seacoast Lane, LLC. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on April 8, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the Village Hall of the Incorporated Village of Sands Point, 26 Tibbits Lane, Port Washington, NY 11050. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted by the contact person listed below until ten days after the close of the public hearing. The action involves a proposed subdivision of an approximately 15.54 acre property into six residential lots. Access to the subdivision is proposed from Cedar Knoll Drive (Hoffstots Lane). The subdivision is proposed to be served by on-site sanitary systems and public water. The project is located on the eastern terminus of Prospect Road (Seacoast Lane) in the Incorporated Village of Sands Point, New York.
