Negative Declaration

Yates County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Drilling Permit Application for Chesapeake Appalachia LLC Proposed Weaver 1 Natural Gas Well Located within Yates County Agricultural District 1 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the drilling of a natural gas well in the Town of Barrington, located within Yates County Agricultural District 1. Drilling operations will be conducted in accordance with the drilling permit issued and rules and regulations of the Department. The total area proposed to be disturbed during the initial construction phase for the well site and access road is 209,810 square feet or approximately 4.8 acres. After the well has been drilled, it will be put into production or plugged and abandoned. The well pad and access road areas for a producing well will be reduced to 30,090 square feet or approximately .69 acres and the remaining disturbed areas reclaimed. If the well is plugged and abandoned, the site will be reclaimed. The project is on the D. Weaver property which is located approximately 1,300 feet north of Gray Road and 2,000 feet west of Bath Road in the Barrington, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Monroe County - The Town of Brighton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Senator Keating Boulevard Commercial Office Park Development may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on April 10, 2008. A public scoping session will be held on March 26, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brighton Town Hall, 2300 Elmwood Avenue, Brighton, NY. The action involves an application for Incentive Zoning and Rezoning for the development of 82 ± acres. The proposed project consists of the development of approximately 820,000 square feet of Class "A" office space and 168,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and hotel type uses. The project is located directly north of Interstate 590, west of Winton Road, east of the terminus of Senator Keating Boulevard, and south of Westfall Road and Buckland Park in the southeast quadrant of the Town of Brighton, New York.
