The action involves the proposal to construct a Convention Center and Hotel on a six acre site. The project would be developed in two phases. Phase 1 of the Convention Center would include approximately 244,000 square feet of ballroom, exhibit hall, meeting and support space, a 400 room full service hotel and a 1,100 vehicle parking structure. Phase 2 would include an additional 156,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space.

The project could also include a pedestrian connection to the Times Union Center to leverage the capacity of the two facilities. A new level could be added on the adjacent Green-Hudson Parking Garage, which would provide 234 additional parking spaces.

The project is generally bounded by Liberty Street, Hudson Avenue, South Pearl Street and the South Mall Arterial in the City of Albany, New York.
