Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Westchester County - The Village of Mount Kisco Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Westchester Residence and Club, LLC - An Adult Living Community. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on March 25, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Village Hall, 104 Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 5:00 p.m on April 4, 2008. A copy of the DEIS can be obtained from the contact person listed below. The action involves the construction of a 129 unit senior citizen development on an undeveloped 18.5 acre site that is part of the 51 acre former Swiss Benevolent property (presently owned by the Village of Mount Kisco). The development would provide independent housing for senior citizens that require some assistance, including meals, transportation, housekeeping, and limited personal care. The Proposed Project would include a total of 180 parking spaces, comprised of 136 underground and 44 surface spaces, for employees, residents, and visitors. Approximately 11.9 acres of the 18.5 acre site, including landscaped areas, would be developed as part of the Proposed Project. The project is located on the west side of Kisco Avenue opposite Holiday Inn Drive, in the Town/Village of Mount Kisco, New York. The site is generally bounded by State of New York property to the north and east, Village of Mount Kisco and private commercial property to the west, and Kisco Avenue to the south.
