Positive Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Special Permit of Historic Village at Jamesport may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the applicant's proposal to construct a commercial center of 10 buildings with an aggregate size of 42,000 square feet together with related improvements on a 9.712 acre parcel zoned Rural Corridor (RLC). The facility includes bistro and professional office uses necessitating special permission in support of a site plan. The project is located on the north side of Main Road (State Route 25), approximately 600 feet west of Manor Lane in the Jamesport, New York.

Suffolk County - The Central Pine Barrens Joint Planning & Policy Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Core Preservation Area Hardship Exemption for Gazza Telecommunications Monopole may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction of a 99 foot tall monopole wireless communication tower. The project is located in the Core Preservation Area of the Central Pine Barrens on the north side of County Road 51 in the Town of Southampton, New York.
