Cattaraugus County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed landspreading of stabilized sludge from the City of Salamanca Wastewater Treatment Plant will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves stabilized sludge being applied to fields totaling approximately 54 acres. The project is located northeast of the intersection of Pigeon Valley Road and Dutch Hill Road in the Town of Napoli, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Allegany County - The Town Board of the Town of Centerville, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Noble Allegany Windpark, LLC. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on March 24, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town of Centerville Town Hall, 10965 Rushford Road, Centerville, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until April 3, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.

The action involves the construction, operation and maintenance of an approximately 100.5 Mega Watt (MW) wind energy facility consisting of 67 wind turbines (55 turbines will be located in the Town of Centerville and 12 in the Town of Rushford), along with associated access roads, electrical collection system and electrical substation. Each turbine will be approximately 400 feet tall when the blade is at highest point. The project is located in portions of the Towns of Centerville and Rushford, New York.
