Public Meeting Notice

Shandaken Tunnel Outlet SPDES Permit General Meeting - February 27, 2008

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) hereby gives notice that a meeting will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday February 27, 2008, at the DEP office located at 71 Smith Avenue in Kingston, New York.

The meeting is being held in accordance with State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Discharge Permit No. NY-026-8151, for the Shandaken Tunnel Outlet. NYC DEP will discuss the progress of several projects in the Catskill watershed region. Public input is welcome.

The meeting is open to the public.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS and Public Hearing

Westchester County - The Yonker Community Development Agency, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Alexander Street Waterfront. A public hearing on the Draft GEIS will be held on February 14, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ceremonial Court Room, City Hall, 4th Floor, Yonkers, NY 10701. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until February 20, 2008. The DEIS has been posted on the City of Yonkers website, www.yonkersny.gov, and is also available for review at the Yonkers Public Library, Riverfront Library, 1 Larkin Plaza, Yonkers, NY 10701 and at the Office of Community Development, 87 Nepperhan Avenue, Suite 312, Yonkers, NY 10701 during normal business hours. Additional copies of the DEIS may be obtained through the Lead Agency contact identified below. The action involves the adoption of an Urban Renewal Plan, Master Plan and Brownfield Opportunity Area Plan for the redevelopment, improvement, and enhancement of an approximately 153 acre area adjacent to the Hudson River in Yonkers. The project is located from Well Avenue to JFK Marina Park in Yonkers, New York.
