Project Description:

The Village has applied for a permit to operate a new bedrock well, the Village of Washingtonville's Fireman's Memorial Well - Potable Well #5, a control building, disinfection system and transmission main connecting to the existing Village distribution system. These facilities were all constructed during a severe drought emergency. The well has been tested to demonstrate a yield of 60 gallons per minute. The well and associated faculties are located within a Village-owned Fireman's Memorial Park which is located to the south of Ahern Road and west of Washington Boulevard in the Village of Washingtonville, Town of Blooming Grove, Orange County.

Availability of Application Documents:

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.

SEQR Lead Agency: Washingtonville Village Board

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct 83 linear feet of steel bulkhead in order to support an existing marine dependent structure constructed on deteriorated pilings and platform. Approximately 130 cubic yards will be placed behind the new bulkhead and below ordinary high water to support the existing structure. Seven pilings will also be replaced to support an existing deck located waterward of the building. The Post Boat Yard Property is located on Boston Post Road in the Village of Mamaroneck, Westchester County.
