Positive Declaration
Suffolk County - The Town of Babylon Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Job #07-23A, Giaquinto Brothers, LLC, Astro Rail Transfer Station may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction and operation of a solid waste construction and demolition (C & D) railroad transfer station on a 6.6 acre parcel. The project is located at 303-345 Marcus Boulevard in the Hamlet of Deer Park, Town of Babylon, New York.

The action involves the construction of twenty seven (27) single family homes with a sewage treatment plant and recharge basin on 13.92 acres. The project is located on the southside of the Long Island Railroad and the west side of Rollstone Avenue in the Hamlet of West Sayville, Town of Islip, New York.
