Positive Declaration

Allegany County - The Town Board of the Town of Centerville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Noble Allegany Windpark, LLC may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction of multiple wind energy generating facilities, plus related utility infrastructure, substation and access roads. The project is located in portions of the Towns of Centerville and Rushford, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Erie County - The Town of Hamburg Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Lowe's Home Improvement Center. A copy of the FEIS can be obtained from The Town of Hamburg website at: www.townofhamburgny.com or by contacting the Town Clerk at (716) 649-6111. The Town of Hamburg will accept comments on the FEIS through December 7, 2007. The action involves the construction of a 139,410 ± square foot Lowe's Home Improvement Center and accessory 31,659 ± square foot outdoor garden display area. In addition, two outparcels are proposed at the front of the site along Southwestern Boulevard that could each potentially accommodate approximately 7,500 square feet of commercial uses such as banks, restaurants, retail, etc. The proposed project requires a rezoning of a portion of the site from Single Family Residential - Attached (R-2) and Residential Multi-Family (R-3) to General Commercial (C-2). Part of the site is currently zoned C-2. A Special Use Permit is required for any building greater than 100,000 square feet in a C-2 zoning district. The project is located on the northeast corner of Southwestern Boulevard (US 62) and Sowles Road, immediately east of Oregon Avenue. The project is located within the Southwestern Boulevard Overlay District in nthe Town of Hamburg, New York.
