Negative Declaration

Chemung County - The Chemung County Industrial Development Agency, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Elmira College Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a 149 room dormitory on a 4.7 acre parcel within Elmira College's 42 acre campus, and the renovation of Cowles Hall all located within the Higher Education Zone in the City of Elmira. The project is located at One Park Place inthe City of Elmira, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Monroe County - The Town of Greece Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Southwestern Commons Commercial and Senior Citizen Residential Development. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until January 28, 2008. The action involves the Farash Corp. and Benderson Development Co., LLC proposal to rezone 105.2 ± acres of land from R1-18 (Single-Family) & BR (Restricted Business) to BG (General Business). At the eastern end of the Premises, 11.8 ± acres already have BG zoning. Farash Corp. proposes to rezone 19.6 ± acres of land from R1-18 to RMS (Multi-Family - Senior Citizen). Farash Corp. proposes to develop nine commercial sites and a total of 198,000 ± square feet of floor space, and 217 housing units for senior citizens, consisting of 200 units in a two-story congregate living facility and 17 townhouses. Benderson Development Co., LLC proposes to develop seven commercial sites and a total of 395,000 ± square feet of floor space. The Premises are substantially contiguous to the northern side of Monroe County's Greece Canal Park. The Applicants propose access to the Premises via West Ridge Road (NYS Route 104); Manitou Road (Monroe County Route 208); and a proposed two-lane public road through the Premises (proposed name: "Southwestern Boulevard"), which would connect between West Ridge Road and Manitou Road. The project is located generally south of and including 4057-4389 West Ridge Road (NYS Route 104) and generally east of 1850-1878 Manitou Road (Monroe County Route 208) in the Town of Greece, New York.
