Project Description:

The Department has drafted a SPDES permit and made a tentative determination to approve this application for two point source discharges. One discharge of 600 gallons per day of treated sanitary wastewater from a septic tank/leach field system to groundwater and a secondary discharge of 440 gallons per day from an oil separator system to surface water are proposed to an unnamed tributary to Beaver Creek. The facility is a Fire Hall located on the north side of Route 20 near Pitt Road.

Project Description:

Restoration of the protective cover over existing natural gas pipelines LN-24, LN-554 and LN-14 in Silver Lake Inlet and within the Silver Lake Inlet (CT-2) Wetland. The pipelines are to be re-coated with a protective coating. Once the protective coating cures, the exposed pipeline section is to be covered with a pre-fabricated concrete shield and articulated concrete revetment mat. The bed and banks of Silver Lake Inlet at the pipeline crossing are to be stabilized with medium to heavy riprap, as necessary. A grade sill consisting of a few large indigenous stones is to be installed downstream of the pipeline crossing using a backhoe. The pipeline crossing of Silver Lake Inlet is located about 1 mile north of Silver Lake in the Town of Perry, Wyoming County.

A cultural resources survey has been completed. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
