Project Description:
The Town of Batavia proposes to create the Putnam and Shepard Roads Water District and to take for use therein a supply of water up to 7600 gallons per day from the Town of Batavia's City of Batavia and Monroe County Water Authority sources. This project includes the installation of 11,200 lineal feet of 8-inch water main and appurtenances to serve 38 units. The project also includes a crossing of an inconsistent stream for the installation of an 8-inch watermain along Putnam Road. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application. As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking public comments prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

The Department has received an application to create the Ellicott Street Road & Townline Road Water District & to take for use therein a supply of water up to 15,800 gallons per day from the Town of Batavia's City of Batavia & Monroe County Water Authority Sources. This project includes the installation of 17,100 linear feet of 12 inch water main and appurtenances to serve 79 units. The project also includes four stream crossings of a tributary of Tonawanda Creek, a class A waterbody and a portion of the watermain will be installed in the regulated 100 foot adjacent area of New York State regulated freshwater wetland BS-19.
The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application. As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking public comment on the project prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes the replacement of the Leroy Island Bridge. The current bridge is structurally deficient and will be completely removed and replaced on a similar alignment. The proposed bridge will be approximately 55 meters in length and require the placement of approximately 20 cubic meters of stone below the mean high water level of Sodus Bay. To maintain traffic, a temporary road, including a temporary bridge, will be constructed north of the existing bridge. The temporary road will require temporarily impacting 0.15 acres of federal wetland and 0.06 acres of New York State regulated freshwater wetland.
