Hearing Notice

Presho Pit Sand and Gravel Mine, Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. DEC 8-4658-00001/00001 MLR 80153

Steuben County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has received an application for the proposed Presho Pit Sand and Gravel Mine. A Legislative Public Hearing will be held on October 23, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the Lindley Fire Department on County Route 120 in the Town of Lindley, NY. The hearing will be held pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 621.8(c)(1). Written statements may be submitted to the contact person prior to the hearing and no later than October 30, 2007, following the hearing. The action involves the development of a 68.25 acre sand and gravel mine on a 175.17 acre parcel. The mine will operate as a traditional surface excavation of sand and gravel by mechanical equipment including mining below the water table to excavate a process water pond. The excavated material will be washed, screened and crushed. Final reclamation will restore the site to graded and revegetated meadow and open space, with the water supply pond filled in. Hawbaker, Inc. property straddling Presho Lindley Road approximately 1 mile southeast of Presho, in the Town of Lindley, New York.

Negative Declaration

Monroe County - The Town of Perinton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Tanbark Hills (formerly Stone Creek) Planned Development District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the rezoning of a parcel from industrial and Residential "B" to a planned development district pursuant to Town of Perinton Code Section 208-52. The rezoning would develop the property as a mixed use, commercial and residential project containing 10,000 ± square feet of commercial space, sixteen (16) single family lots and eighty seven (87) townhouse dwelling units. The project is located south of Route 31 between Loud Road and Thayer Road in the Town of Perinton, New York.
