Project Description:

The applicant proposes to mine sandstone from a 7.4 acre Life of Mine Area on a 940 acre parcel of land owned by the applicant and James Newton, Hugh Fayette, and George Brierre. It is anticipated that during the initial five year permit term, the entire 7.4 acre site would be affected in order to provide materials needed for wind farm projects. Onsite crushing of rock is proposed. Stone products will be trucked from the mine on the abandoned railroad right-of-way to Clinton Mills Road. The reclamation objective is for the establishment of grass cover. The proposed mine is located along the abandoned rail road bed about one mile southeast of Clinton Mills where it intersects Clinton Mills Road (CR11) approximately 3.5 miles east of Churubusco.

Project Description:

The applicant, Roswell E. Beeman proposes to mine sand and gravel from a 48.9 acre Life of Mine Area on a 71.98 acre parcel of land owned by the applicant. It is anticipated that during the initial permit term, 10 acres would be affected in order to provide materials needed for construction projects. Onsite screening of sand and gravel is proposed. Products will be trucked from the mine approximately 300 feet to Emery Road via an existing haul road. The reclamation objective is for soil stabilization and the establishment of grass cover. The proposed mine is west of Emery Road approximately one half mile from the intersection of Emery Road and Woods Falls Road; generally southeast of Mooers Forks.
