Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Indian River Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Indian River Central School District Wide Renovations and Additions will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves building renovations, alterations, additions and site improvements at the District's Calcium Primary School, Indian River Intermediate School and the Indian River High School. This will include construction of classrooms, expanded cafeteria and administration areas as well as upgrades and improvements to the existing mechanical and electrical systems, repainting, reroofing, security upgrades, replacement of various finishes/systems and replacement of an existing grass field with an artificial turf surface with expansion of existing grandstands and additional fencing. The project is located at the following three schools:

Jefferson County - The South Jefferson Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed South Jefferson Central School District's District wide Renovations and Additions will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the acquisition of approximately 23.8 acres of land at Clark Jr./Sr. High School for the purpose of athletic field expansion, pavement improvements and renovations at Mannsville-Manor Elementary School; pavement improvements and renovations at Maynard P. Wilson Elementary School and Wilson Bus garage; pavement improvements and renovations, window replacement, security system, fire alarm and miscellaneous improvements at Mannsville-Manor Elementary School; Maynard P. Wilson Elementary School, Wilson Bus garage and Clark Jr./Sr. High School; and eight bay building addition at Wilson Bus garage, building renovations, alterations and additions. Jefferson County - The City of Watertown City Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Change Section 310-9 to allow residential uses within the Commercial District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Zoning Ordinance Text Change for Section 310-9, Paragraphs A and F to read as follows:

A. Any use permitted in Neighborhood Business Districts

F. Multi-family dwellings

The project is located in the Commercial Zoning Districts of the City of Watertown, New York.
