Project Location: Raymond Brook drainage, Town of Johnsburg, Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest
Project Description: Upgrade existing trail and construct new trail to create Raymond Brook nordic ski trail on state land between Barton Mines Road and State Route 28 as approved in the Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest Unit Management Plan. Also, four bridges will be constructed and drainage devices will be installed along the trail. A parking lot will also be constructed at the east end of the trail. These projects will require the removal of 13 trees larger than 4" diameter breast height over 3.75 miles. A review of the Natural Heritage information in the Master Habitat Database found no endangered or threatened animals, plants or communities located within the project boundaries. This notice is in compliance with the policy LF-91-2, Cutting, Removal or Destruction of Trees on Forest Preserve Lands. The New York Natural Heritage Program does not have any record of threatened or endangered species in the project area.
Negative Declaration
Saratoga County - The Wilton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Subdivision of lands of Sass will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the 9-lot residential subdivision with on-site wells and septic systems on a 44 ± acres of land. The project is located on Edie Road, Town of Wilton, New York.

Clinton County - The Town Board of the Town of Clinton, as lead agency, has accepted a Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Marble River, LLC Windfarm. A public hearing on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be held on August 28, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Churubusco Fire Hall, Churubusco, New York. Written comments on the Supplemental Draft EIS will be accepted by the Town Board until September 30, 2007 at the Town Hall in Churubusco. The action involves the construction and operation of Wind Energy Generating Facilities and related infrastructure (electric lines, access roads, substation) in the Town. The project is located in the Town of Churubusco, New York.
