Project Title: Walter's Boardwalk Project

Location: Town of Greig, Lewis County, on or near Cottage Road with shoreline on Lily Pond.

Public Hearing: August 21, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at the Greig Firehouse, Brantingham Road, (County Route 42), Greig, New York.

Comment Period: All written comments must be received at the Adirondack Park Agency by August 27, 2007.

Project Description: The construction of a 3 foot wide by 215 foot long boardwalk, extending into Lily Pond and elevated 2 feet above the surface level of the wetlands in the pond. An 8 by 8 foot dock will also be built at the end of the boardwalk. The proposed boardwalk requires a variance from the APA Act §806 shoreline setback requirements and also requires Agency approval as regulated wetland activity.


Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Village of Adams, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed local law regulating the placing or dumping of rubbish will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the placing or dumping of rubbish creating a nuisance to be prohibited. The project is located village wide, Village of Adams, New York.

Conditioned Negative Declaration

Jefferson County - The Village of Chaumont Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Genessee Valley Route 179 subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. The public comment period shall expire on September 10, 2007. The action involves a subdivision which will consist of 29 building lots. The lots will all be 100 feet in width and all in excess of the 15,000 square foot minimum requirement. It is the applicants' intention to build on these lots one, one and one half and two story homes, designed to blend with the Village character and atmosphere. The size of the homes will be in a range of 1,200 to 1,600 square feet, many with attached garages. The project is located approximately 3,300 feet along the easterly side of County Route 179, Village of Chaumont, New York.

The conditions are: The plans, specifications and locations of both water and sewer mains and laterals must be reviewed and approved by the Village Engineer and the Village Board. Adequate municipal water and sewer capacities will be verified by the Village Engineers and the Village Board to approve allocation of the same.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Oneida County - The Town of Whitestown Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed convenience store with gasoline sales to be known as Sunny's Express. Written comments on the Final EIS will be accepted by the contact person listed below until August 15, 2007. The action involves the construction of a proposed convenience store with gasoline sales, in conjunction with the filling and grading activities which have taken place on the Sunny's Express parcel and the adjacent parcel. The project is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Judd and Halsey Roads in Whitestown, New York.
