Pursuant to subdivision 5 of Section 23-1101 of the Environmental Conservation Law, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation hereby gives public notice of the following:
The Department has determined that public bids for the leasing of a parcel of State land totaling 11.33 acres of State Route 225 in the Town of Southport, Chemung County for oil and natural gas production is unreasonable and impracticable.
The Department intends to lease such lands to East Resources, Inc. for such purpose.

Genesee County - TheTown of Alexander, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed amendment of the Town of Alexander Zoning Law and Official Zoning Map to address Self Service Storage Facilities will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the amendments of the zoning laws to address self storage facilities, providing a definition of and rules and regulations for the same, along with amending the official zoning map of the town, specifically parcel No. 15-1-12.12, from Agricultural-Residential to Commercial-Industrial. The project is located town-wide in the Town of Alexander, New York.

Genesee County - The Town of Darien, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 2007 Amendments for the Town of Darien Zoning Law and Recodification will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Town of Darien has determined that comprehensive regulations are needed to regulate the development of Wind Power installations to protect the interest of the town and its residents. The amendments to the zoning law establish a permissive and discretionary framework for the establishment of wind energy in the town. The amendments also update and add several definitions, expand the establishment of districts by adding two commercial center mixed use zones and a neighborhood center mixed zone. The general provision relative to stabling of animals and registered truck/trailer combinations was amended. The supplemental regulations concerning signs and wind energy units and the article for district requirements were also updated. The project is located town-wide in the Town of Darien, New York.

Monroe County - The Town of Riga Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Meadow Crest Estates will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a subdivision and site plan approval for a subdivision with 7 single family dwellings with private septic systems and public water systems. The project is located on the south side of Chili-Riga Center Road, 3,600 ± East of Attridge/Palmer Road intersection, Town of Riga, New York.
