Project Description:

The applicant proposes to enhance existing dockage at Woodhull Lake by installing a 30 foot by 6 foot seasonal dock, remove 12 boulders three to four feet in diameter along 74 feet of shoreline, and place rip-rap along the same 74 feet of shoreline. The boulder removal and rip-rap is to better accommodate sixteen 6 foot by 10 foot slip docks. There is an existing dock and boathouse at the site currently. The resulting mooring facility will be 11,000 square feet in area. Woodhull Lake is a standards B(T) water body.

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to renew State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) # NY 0215881, for Hare Residence in Jefferson County. This is a pre-existing Private/Commercial/Institutional SPDES permit. DEC has made a tentative determination to renew this permit and set a standard five year term maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements. This permit involves the surface discharge of up to 300 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste into Chaumont Bay, Lake Ontario, a class A stream.

DEC seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

The site is further located southeast of CR 24, approximately 300' northeast of the intersection of Campbell Road and CR 24, 2 miles northeast of the Village of Edwards. On site processing with portable screens and crushers is proposed.
