Negative Declaration
Warren County - The Adirondack Park Agency, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adirondack Park Agency Approval of Town of Johnsburg Local Land Use Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Town Board Resolution #117 dated April 3, 2007. The Town of Johnsburg has submitted a proposed new Zoning Law, Subdivision Control Law, On-Site Wastewater Treatment Law, Junk Storage Law and Town Zoning Map to the Adirondack Park Agency for the purpose of seeking transfer of jurisdiction over Class B regional project review pursuant to Section 807 of the Adirondack Park Agency Act. The proposed local laws and zoning map submitted on April 3, 2007 were revised from earlier submissions and subsequent to local public hearings held on December 13, 2006 and January 11, 2007. They have been developed in consultation with and assistance from Adirondack Park Agency staff with the intention of enabling the Town of Johnsburg local land use program to satisfy the requirements of Section 807 of the APA Act. Upon the Agency's determination, or conditioned determination that it meets the requirements of the APA Act, the Town will proceed to adopt the proposed changes to their zoning law, subdivision control law, on-site wastewater treatment law, junk storage law and zoning map. The action encompasses both the Agency review/approval of the local land use program and the local adoption by the Town. The project is located in the Town of Johnsburg, New York.
